- Palm Springs Weekend. College students converge on Palm Springs for their spring break vacation looking for romance and fun. Parrish. Parrish McLean lives and works on a tobacco plantation in the Connecticut River Valley. He finds himself up against a ruthless businessman who controls the valley. Rome Adventure. A former school teacher meets a young man and together they tour Italy while falling in love. Susan Slade. After her boyfriend is killed, Susan finds that she is pregnant with his child.
